Online Dating

After months of looking, trying and being active, I'm starting to wonder, if people have been wrong all this time, wrong about men being shallow and horny bastards. Cause, unless there is something specifically wrong with me, I think its the other way around.

Now before you start sending hate mails, fax mail bombs or something, let me explain my problem.

You see, I've been a member on a total of five different dating site, three of them I am still a member on, as it was just to expensive to keep the other two. Now the three I am still a member on, are all free of charge, one you can pay, but thats only to get the adds away, and so far, I haven't found a need for that, as they are so far very non-annoying.

On these three thou, I've been an active member for many months, only resently, have I lost interest, and after telling you my theory, I think you'll see why I've lost interest.

As a ”horny and shallow male individual” I of course have made contact with several women that has peaked my interest in some fashion. I have always tried my best to be friendly, kind and not intrusive in my first message, which is usually just a longer hello.

On all three sites, I've had a total of... one... person per site, that has written me back. One... out of probably 40-50 women from the ages of 24 to 46.

The first woman to answer me did so after I had added something on my presentation, stating that if I had written to who ever looked at my profile, that they would please wright back, if only to say; Thanks for showing interest, but no thank you.

The woman that answered me said pretty much what I had hoped for when it comes to being turned down, with an added note on the fact that I had also written that now that I can finally grow a beard, if a bit thin, I would never shave it, and she told me to hold on to it, which made me happy.

The other two, simply thanked me, and wished me a good day, or happy hunting or something. But almost all the others, never even bothered to say ”no thank you”.

Now I cant be sure that all of them even read my message, or have since I wrote them even been online ever again, but out of the three dating sites, two of them, as far as I can remember, have the added bonus, of showing you who have been to see your profile, and at what date and even time. So when I see that someone I have written to, have been to my profile, and then not said anything, left a message or even given me a ”poke” or what ever it is they have, you get a bit blue, as I'm sure you can all agree.

So my question, ladies, is are you this shallow? Or is it just something about me, my picture alone or something that turns women away? Or have I just hit the lowest on the luck scale?

If women really are this shallow, to turn down a guy without even saying a single word to him, then I wonder, if its not women that are the shallow and insensitive people on this planet. Cause I can promise you, that a guy would at least tell you if they share your interest or not, granted, some can be real assholes about it, but generally speaking, I think most try their best to let you down gently.

But what hurts even more in this instance, is not words, but silence.

I read an article awhile back that made me think of all these things, that was about women and their dating habits, and who they took interest in. It was an article written by a woman too, so I do believe it had some merit, and as far as I could tell, it sounded logical.

Basically, it said that woman are drawn to confident and happy men (those that look for men at least), and they look past those that don’t fit those criteria.

The problem how ever, is that those that have confidence (in general) or are happy, are likely to be in a relationship already, and that is where their confidence and happiness comes from.

And that men who seem less confident and/or happy, are the ones that just wants someone to love, and to love them, but as women want someone that has qualities they cant get without this, are being overlooked, there are a shitload of men out there, that could possibly be the best guys in the world, but haven't the slightest chance, as women find them unattractive or even down right invisible.

So ladies, please, the next time you are at the pub, online or where ever, and you are looking for Prince Charming, remember that he is probably the guy that doesn't look like Prince Charming, as he wont become it, until you give him love and affection, and he can give the same back.

Look for the lonely guy, the one that don’t seem to smile as much, that seem to not really know why he is even there. Talk to him, get to know him... you never know, he might just be the best thing for you, if not, then at least you've made someone happy, and you might just have made a good friend... or you know, you've gotten laid if you wanna take it that far. What ever you go with, is fine by most guys.

But most importantly, be honest, open and for fuck sake, don’t give us hints... we cant see them until its way WAY to late.

City Vista Screenie

As I've told you before, I bought a game on the Steam Christmas Sale called Cities XL Platinum. It's a rather slow moving game, but then, I think all city building games are, and its not easy, as building a city probably isn't in real life either.
But I was right when I said it was 10 times better then SimCity.
Some aspects are easier, others are harder. Some details are better, others are worse, but all and all, much better game.

This is the city I am currently working on. KinCity.

The screen shot only shows 2 of the 3 "areas" I am building, what you are seeing is the farmers area, hence the large fields in various colors, and then next to that, the current city center. What you are not seeing is the industrial area that is to the north, on the edge of the map, to avoid having air pollution taint too much of my beloved city.

We'll see how the development of this city comes along, and seeing as I dont play it all that much, dont expect that many screenies of it.

Self Inflicted Anger

Today was a really bad day.

It all started with me having to use my bike to go get some stuff to put in my fridge. To go shopping for essentials in other words. Buy Food .. for those needing short sentences. *wink wink*
The bike ride was horrible, as I had miscalculated the tempature of the outside world, and thus I was underdressed and after less then a forth of the way to the store, it felt like I had sheets of ice on every part of my body that was poorly covered, specificly my neck and most of my face. My hat didn't do a very good job either as the wind went through it rather easy.

Anyway, once I had gotten to the store, locked my bike and was about to enter the store... I realized I had forgotten to bring my wallet...

This made me a bit angry as you can imagen, at myself ofcourse, as it was my fault.
But what then happened, is that I started to remember every little thing that upset me, had made me angry, had hurt me or in any other way made me feel anything but happy.
This went on until I was biking home from work... almost 10 hours later.

In other words, I have been a very VERY negative person for 10 hours straight.
Most of my negative thoughts have revolved around one specific person too, which hasn't been easy. This person hasn't made me angry so much as hurt, and after I got hurt, I got angry, and thats my own fault for letting it get to me in such ways. But 75% of my anger thoughts, have been about this person. Everything from imagening calm, civilized discussions to straight up murder...


Well, enough for negative things... I've bought a second game on Steam Sale, Just Cause 2.. I'll install it later.

Xmas Sale

Steam Christmas Sale is here... so far.. I've bought one game. It was at 75% off, and I wanted it. Cities XL Platinum. A city building game that is so far, even though I've only tested it for an hour, ten times better then SimCity was/is.

Lets see what other games I'll be "wasting" money on this winter...

Lizard Emperor

New planets, new quests, new talent trees and the death of a big lizard.
Lot of new shit going on in Star Wars the Old Republic.

So lets start from the top ey?
I bought the new expansion to the game called: Shadow of Revan. It all about Revan going mental and trying to kill the Emperor... the Emperor is the embodiment of the Dark Side of the Force, and he is currently slumbering.
If he were to wake up thou, the Empire is not going to be happy... You see, its not just the Republic and their Jedi that want to keep the Emperor from waking, but the Sith too, the one's who are suppose to be on the Emperors side.
For if the Emperor wakes... he will consume all life in the galaxy. Literally ALL life, killing everyone and everything. Neither side wants that.

So my job, as a Dark Council Lord, is to stop Revan and his Revanite followers from achievning this goal... but Revan is powerful. Possibly THE most powerful force user in the known galaxy after the Emperor.
And when the fight against Revan came down, I was able to choose to do it SOLO or OP. Meaning, go on with the solo questing, or get in an Operation/raid and taking him down with other players.
I picked solo, couse that sounded fun.
After some short scenes and talking, I was standing next to Darth Marr and Grand Jedi Master Satele Shan and a few other allies from both side that had been around the whole quest line, and was about to beat the living snot out of Revan.
It might have been the longest fight I've ever been in during my time in SW ToR... ever...
I wont tell you how it ended (we won ofc), I'll leave that to another time. But I can tell you... that its no doubt about what the next expansion or Operation is going to be about. I'm hoping they'll make it into a whole expansion thou.

Anyway.. during my travels and various missions, I had to kill a beast with an unusual name.

She Who Greedily Devours is one big lizard.

A humanoid bird species asked me to check on some scouts. They were dead. After some investigation, I was asked to end the life of the thing up in the screen shot.
Was an easy fight cause.. well... I'm one of the most powerful Sith in the GALAXY!!!!!!!!!11!!11....

Anyway... right! The talent tree... they changed it... it better now, easier, and makes for early game play to make the player feel and be a little more powerful... too many details to go into here, so if you are interested, you can find details about it here.

ÜBER SUNDAY Edition

I never put up a screen shot last week. And noone seemed to notice... How many people actually look on my blog? Or more importantly... how many people give a shit about the sunday screen shot editions?

Anyway, I haven't posted anything else this week either, so to say "I'm sorry" to those that actually look forward to my sunday editions, I give you something special... for the rest of you... you can do what you want with this ÜBER SUNDAY.

What I have done, is a simple video, I recorded a special mission, one that I can only do once per day (on each character thou), and for just one week, after that, its gone for another 3 weeks or so, who knows, might be gone longer.
Its a bounty, from the Bounty Brokers. And my awesome Sith Inquisitor Tena'he, takes the job, and goes hunting on Dromund Kaas.

Transfer Door

When transfering data from one computer to another, you need one of three things. A cord to connect the computers, or devices, an external device like a USB memory stick or an external harddrive, or you need the computers/devices to be equiped with wifi technological hardware.
But when transfering data from one brain to another, all you have to do, is open you mouth, push out some air that produces vibrations, and then point it in the general direction of the owner of the brain, and you are done.
Our brains are some seriously awesome computers, with some seriously cool tech.

The entryphone at the front door to my apartment complex, is still on the fritz it seems. Wouldn't let me in after I had gone out with some trash this morning. Seems it might be fixed now, but I dont think I'll take any chances, and just try and jam something in the door so it stays open.
First time I had this issue, was last night, just came home from work, but spent a while outside, as I and some other guy whose language skills were below average waited outside in the cold.
We've been without an entryphone for weeks, so when they finally install a brand new one, with better tech (so they said anyway), I was quite happy, I've missed having a locked gate.
But when it never fuckin works, and can only be opened from the inside, you kind of loose it and go slightly mental.
The entryphone works in 3 different ways. You can call someone in the house, obviously, and then have them let you in or you can use the "droplett" you have on your keychain, and as a last resort, you can just use your key to unlock the door and go inside.
None of these 3 ways worked last night, or this morning.
My block host called about half an hour ago and told me it seems to be fixed now... so when I get back from the gym, its going to be interesting to see if I have to call my neighbour and ask them to come down and open the door again.

Galaxy Murder

I got bored with the games I was playing, and then I was reading some Star Wars novels... and like an episode of the old Batman TV show.. POW! BOFF! PIFF! and BOOM! I had bought another 2 months subscription to Star Wars the Old Republic.

So far... fun... its good to be back. This game is far better then its given credit for.
Here I am doing an Heroic version of a low level Flashpoint, and that giant of a beast, is the second boss we fought... after that, the last boss took a shit long time as our healer had some connection issues and get a "DC" every few minutes, making it so either all, or some of us died in pretty much every battle...
It was slightly annoying ofcourse, but I imagen that the player behind the healer, was going mad as hell... I usually did anyway when I had such problems.

Anyway.. yea, I'm back on my Sith Inquisitor Tena'he, a Lord of the Dark Council, scourge of the galaxy and all 'round great gal!

Cold Morning

Woke up today and saw a blanket of frost on the lawn outside my window. A cool and frosty mist was also gathering in the distance, and after I've had some breakfast I packed up and went to the gym, only to have to stop and take these photos.

The entire field looked like this. Its was almost magical.

Unfortunatly, by the time I was going home... the mist that I thought was cool and frosty, had thawed the magical landscape, and instead made it impossible to see anything 150 meters away... thats how thick the mist was/is... also, if wearing glasses while riding a bike, ones vision became even worse, as the glasses became covered in small small drops of water.

Frozen Mods

I have to admite... I got a bit bored with Skyrim and the fact that its constantly winter there, yet I could run around butt ass naked, and never so much as get a cold even! Not to mention the dragons I shoot down from the sky with a single iron arrow after level 30 and 80 in archery skill. And after over 600 hours of gameplay.. all the armors got a bit boring too.

So I downloaded a few mods to make the game better and harder. Cause just turn the difficulty up to insane or what ever the highest setting is called, just made it so it took longer to kill shit.
The first mod I got was Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons that would make the world simply look better and give me more options as to what I wore. And to add, I made sure I had it so that npc's would adorn said items too, cause I didn't want just me to be unique.
The next mod I got, is called iHud which further increases the immersion and realism to the game. It makes it so that the normal compass you constantly have at the top of the screen, becomes invisible. Now you can just press the "X" key on the keyboard, and it pops up, but as the "Z" key is right next to it, I keep shouting at nothing or friendly npc's... so I just tab and check the map itself instead... much safer.

All of these mods are in theirselves just something to make the game feel better purely out of a aesthetic view (besides the iHud ofc). So I figured it was time for a proper mod that would make me halt in my never ending killing spree's.
Frostfall!
Frostfall adds a level to the game that makes it feel more real, by simple making it so that snow and snowstorms gets you cold, rain and swimming makes you wet, and if you are wet, your exposure increases, making it more likely that you'll get cold, and thus... freeze to freakin death!
Now there is 3 different difficulties to Frostfall, Lite, Normal and Hardcore. I am going for Hardcore. The few things that Hardcore has that the other down have, is that you can (and most likely will at some point) die from freezing. Your exposure rate drops a little faster, further telling you that the lands of Skyrim is really mean. And my personal favorite... fast travel is disabled. So if I have been to a city, say Solitude, and I need to get back there, and I am currently on the other side of the map in Riften... I have to walk/run/ride or hire a carrage to get there. No clicking the map and say "fast travel", screen goes black and BOOM, you're there! No if I want to get somewhere, I have to get there on my own. Much more interesting.

So how do I stay warm with this new mod? Well I need to dress well for starters. Full cover fur armor is one of the better choises, as well as adding a travel cloak, either a leather one, if you are in the southern parts as it protects against rain, or a fur one for protecting against cold and snow.
Runing with a lit torch helps to slow the exposure rate, but the best thing, is to carry a tent (leather or fur) and a woodcutter's axe.
Out in the wild you might get too cold, and thus, must camp. You can build a camp fire, set up a tent and even build a leather rack to make either things such as cured hides and leathers for even more tents.
If you dont pack up the tent when you are traveling again, it will remain there... forever! Which is awesome.

Yes.. I play a male character for once... And no, he's not gay like all my female characters where, cause the men in Skyrim looks like shit!! The women however...
So yea, the last screen shot, is me warming up and drying off after I had a swim in the nearby lake. Lukely the weather was nice and sunny, so I didn't get too cold too fast. But keep in mind, Skyrim is in a continous state of autumn/winter, so keep dry and warm and eat soup.

Now about the dragons... I made them harder too... so hard infact, that when I meet my first dragon in a fight.. I died. That has never happened before.
With the mod Deadly Dragons you can tweek the difficulty of dragons in all aspects. Increase their health, magica resistance, magica damage and melee damage by anywhere from 1% to 1000%. Increase their armor, make it so they spawn more often, every hour (in game ofc) if you want, but that would be horrible, so I have it at 36 hours. And if you want to, you can allow the assaults to contain one dragon, or two, three or even four dragons. Or a random amount by marking all four options.
It also adds a bunch of new dragons, with new and different skins, abilities and strenghts. Should also note, that the normal dragons.... that are just called "Dragon", has added abilities. The normal dragons breathe fire... but now they can rain down fire from the sky on you too... and that fire... HURT!!!

Racist Lights

Was watching a TV program last night at work called "PLUS". Its a consumers program, meant to help us normal mortals in every day struggles like what to do if a company screws you over, what to keep in mind when buying this and that and also a comparison between a few of the same kind of items.
Now what was so cool about this episode, was that they did a comparison between bicycle lights for under 100 skr. They looked at how bright they were, how much they lit up and if they would blind oncoming traffic or other pedestrians/cyclists.
And it turns out, that the winner, in all 3 tests, was the one I had bought a few weeks earlier. WIN!!
And yes, I found it to be very good too.

In another, somewhat TV related issue, is something I asked about on facebook a few days ago, so some of you might be reading this for a second time, others, first time, from me atleast.
I wont be going into the specifics of the TV program that this issue came from, or more, where it made me think and wonder, but I can say this, that one participant in this program wanted to find out who, of the other participants, were affiliated with the political party SD, which is highly regarded as a rasist party by alot of people.
The thing that made me wonder then, was why its such a frantic search for racism in our country. What I mean is simple, alot of people actually look for things or people that they can call racist. Is a person critical to the current immigration policy? Racist! Is a candy/pastry made of chocolate, have a face on it and then black sprinkles? Racist! Has someone done a horrible crime and the police informs that the description of the person has color other then pale? Racist!
That last thing actually happend a few years ago, some guy was being creepy and stalking little girls from a school, 12-13 year old girls. The police first came out with a description that said it was a man around the age of 30-35 and looked to be from Africa. The police were then told they were racist and they had to change their story, saying it was a man in his 30's. Forcing everyone to all of the sudden be wary of ANY male in close proximity of the school.
All that did, was create fear and hate... it didn't solve anything.

I personally belive, that if you look for racism, you ARE a racist, as you are the one who are dividing the pople according to their skin color. When I see people, I see nice people, bad people, assholes and unknowns. I dont realy see black, brown, white or yellow.
I see idiots.
Alot of them too.

Interior Screenie

I promiced you images of the inside of Morkoms when it was done... well here it is!!

If I could without mods, adopt more then 2 kids, this is where they would sleep.

The kitchen and washroom. And to top it off, I hired a cook too.

The master bedroom... still unused.

Now this is an office anyone would be proud to have.

As I always play female characters, I got to have a place to show off my shoe collection.

Last week, this place looked dead... not so much now ey?

It also has a basement where the cook and guard lives, as well as a brewery. In the brewery I can make several kinds of beer that give me temporary buffs.

But, alas, this mod has been taken away. It had an annoying habit of crashing my game when ever I tried to either enter or exit the place. And thus, I have gone back to an old mod, that will eventually give me a home in an old tower.
That mod is called "Helgen Reborn". When you start the game, spoiler, you are in Helgen and are about to get your head chopped off, when a big awesome looking dragon comes and fucks up the Imperials plans, you escape while the dragon destroys the town.
In Helgen Reborn, you go back to Helgen and find some interesting people around, and then help rebuild the city, save an old friend and hire some guards. As thanks, you are given the very same tower the dragon first sets down on. Its a small place, but as it turns out, there is a large area under it that houses several smaller rooms as well as a large cavern.
This mod gives you around 4-6 hours of extra gameplay, fully voiced by proffesional voice actors, a good script and a great story.

Sleeping Reeves

Last night, I turned off my alarm, turned off the sound and vibrations on the phone too, just so I could finally get some much needed sleep. And boy did I sleep!!! Woke up just shy of 3 in the afternoon.
Felt good.
But unfortunatly, I had gotten a text from a coworker who asked if I could pitch in for 2 hours, from 4 to 6 due to some stuff she needed to get done. But it was most likely already to late to answer, and even if it wasn't, I genuinly thought I couldn't, as I was sure I was going to Sthlm later for a birthday party, so even thou I noticed the text way way late, I still thought that I couldn't.
Now thou... just before I had a shower and a shave. I find out that we aren't leaving for the wee kid until saturday... two weeks from now.

So I guess I'm free today. The only plan I really have, is to try and find someone to go to the movies with me. Really want to see the new Keanu Reeves movie John Wick. And I know alot of people think his movies suck, but I like em, so far, close to 100% of them, so shut up! I know I'm gonna love this one. Just as I loved the samurai one too, 47 Ronin... it was good, and dont you dare say differently, cause then you have bad taste in movies, and you dont belong in this conversation! Not that written words on the interwebz can really be called a conversation, specially on a blog where one express ones personal views and oppinions. So yea, dont even bother telling me that 47 Ronin or John Wick sucks, cause I'll just put my fingers in my eyes and go "LA LA LA LAL LAALALALALA"

Late Entry

Lets all pretend its sunday... or actually... lets not, I'm late with the entry! I remebered this late last night, but by then, I couldn't care less.

So what will I give you this time?
Skyrim! Yea, I'm back to it. And just to tell you something fun, in 2 weeks, the game will be 3 years old! Can you belive it? 3 years!! And the game still has a shitload of players, and not only that, it has a shitload of modders, and they get better and better too.

Like this one.

That is a player home mod called Morskom. When you open the game after installing it, you are told to either go there right away, not do anything, or place a marker on the map to more easily find it. I knew where it was, and I was slightly preoccupied, so I told it to do nothing.
Once there, I read a sign, bought it, and went inside.

This is the inside I was meet with.

Yup... nothing. It was dark, dirty and difficult to see. The basement was infested with giant rats, and if I wanted a proper home, I had to build it all myself.
Now usually when you get a house mod, its all decorated for you, it a finished house. But here, you have to build almost everything first.
And here's the real fun part about it.
I needed to build floors, Proper floors. But in order to do that, I needed to clean out all the dust and shit, so I had to use a broom and let 5 hour of ingame time to pass before it was clean. But you cant clean a house if you cant see what you are doing, so I had to get hte material needed to light the place up.
So once the lights were on, and the floors were cleaned, I could lay the floor.
And I loved that.
Maybe next week, I'll show you the finished product.

Temporary Broken

My body temporarily broke down on tuesday. I didn't notice properly until the evening, but by then, it was to late to try and fix it. That being said, I highly doubt I would have been able to repair the damage before the whole thing shutdown on me, as I dont know if the tools for fixing it, actually exists.
I got a cold.
And as far as I know, you can only hide the symproms, but not heal it to a hundred percent. So I just made sure I could breath properly, beyond that, I let it run its thing, let the body make the repairs on it own, just gave it some added building blocks, like vitamins.

So far, I have gone through one and a half rolls of toilet paper, exclusively used on my face. Unfortunatly, the brand I bought, while it is good enough for every day things, it isn't good enough for blowing your nose or wipe your ass with. But I still have like 12 rolls of em, so I'll just suffer their poor quality for awhile longer and then buy something nicer. They should run out before the end of the year... I'm single... so the toilet paper usually last longer then say, with a family of four or so. Actually rememebr when I bought a bale of rolls, last me well over a year. Win!

But I am going back to work tomorrow. That being said, it should be interesting to see if I can get my ass out of bed, as I start working at 07:30... and during these few days of horror and snot, I've had difficulties sleeping, and thus, just last night, I didn't sleep until sometime after 05:00, woke up at... well about an hour ago, after lunch :P

But I see no reason to worry, if push comes to shove, and I find myself still wide awake at 3 in the morning, I'll just stay awake and then sleep for a few hours when I get home, then get back to work at 4 in the afternoon :P

Boom Vegas

Went back to Fallout New Vegas a few days ago. Added some much needed mods to it. So now it looks better, and also has some bug fixes and added challenge.
The screen shot you'll see first thou... well, its a new place, but the enemy, is not hard.
Overgrown rats rarely are.

I just killed his buddy by sneaking up and shooting its head off... the other Giant Mole Rat didn't like that and figured he'd try and bite my face off.
His head was left intact, but his lowerbody is nowhere to be found.

When I first added some new textrue packs and made a better sky and weather conditions, I was deep down in an underground city, and forgot I had added them by the time I got back up...

Lets just say, that when I was greated with this image... my jaw dropped. That is THE best sky I've ever seen in any of my games, specially good with New Vegas in the background.
All thou.. I had to travel a bit and sell a bunch off stuff I had looted in the underground city. And after a quick travel, I was meet by the new weather conditions I had added.

Lets just say, I had problems finding the store I was going to. The sandstorms they now have in some regions... are either blinding, or radioactivily deadly.
I LOVE IT!!!

Stupid Cells

Stupid cellphones!!! Stupid providers of cellphones and accounts!!
So this might get lenghty, but here goes.
Saturday, I was asked if I could fill in for a coworker, "E", and I told her that I would think about it and let her know the following day.
So I call her, no answer. Figure she's busy, and I'd get in contact with her either the next day, or she would see that I had called and call me up.
The next day comes and I send her a text... no responce.
Now its tuesday, a day she wanted filled, and I come to work, in the afternoon as I usually do, and I am being told by our group leader, who I've told you before is a right cunt, that I was assinged to be there that morning.
Now, I was already in a lousy mood, even a bit pissed off, so when I sent E another text about it, I wasn't very nice with my choise of words. And E, if you are reading this, I am very very sorry for blaming you, I shouldn't have, and I will give you a proper apology when we meet the next time.
But the answer I got, besides reflecting my porly chosen words, was that my call on saturday, and my text the following monday, had never been delivered.

This shit has got to stop!!! This isn't the first time this has happened, and not just to her either, I've missed calls and texts. One text arrived 3 days after it was sent. One call, from my sister in particular, I only found out about after about 2 weeks when my mom asked my why I never picked up the phone.

We are so dependant on our phones these days, that it borders on insanity, so why do this shit happen? Is it on pupose from the manufacturers that make the phones? The programmers that make the accounts? So that we buy new phones more often? Why is it that quality has become less importaint then quantity?
Fuckin phones man... Fuckin... phones... I blame.. I blame... fuck.. who should we blame? Ourselves? God? (that would be difficult, better to blame a real thing)

Anyway, E, I am sorry for my behavior. Phones... FUCK YOU!!!

Daggers and Relics

Been trying a new class in the game Path of Exile. The Shadow. And I've gone with "fist weapons", so right now, it looks like I am runing around with nails attached my hands. But considering what kind of skill I am mostly using, it would probably look better to run around with a pair of daggers in each hand.

You can see some green things in a cone infront of my character there. Those are daggers. Suppose to be 9 of them too, and so far, they kill shit quick. And as I have started a small side quest here, where enemies keep coming in through small red portals on the ground, I need it to kill fast too, or I would have failed the mission.
But due to my uber skills... .. . Sorry, had to laugh at my own lie there for a moment... but due to this specific skill, I was able to defend the relic, and feed it the souls it needed.

I know, wierd right? Feed souls to a relic... thats fantasy gaming for ya!

Todays screen shot, comes from Tera Online. I played this game a long time ago, and then kind of got bored of it, but now, I'm giving it a second chance, and so far... its not that bad.
My slayer recently made it to level 25, and she kicks most enemies asses, some of the harder ones thou, she still need help with, but as the server I am on is rather empty at the best of times, its difficult to find an ally for the bigger guys. But being on a low populated server, means I rarely have to compete for the enemies I am set to destroy.

The game itself, is an action combat game, where you have to aim in order to hit enemies. Meaning you cant just press TAB and then have an enemy in your sights and you can shoot, hack or slash away and be sure to come out victorious.
But this also means, that a slayer class character, wielding his/her big two handed sword, can hit 1-100 enemies in a single swing as long as they are within range and inside the arc of what ever swing you've chosen.
Here, I do a normal swing, and get a critical hit on two enemies at once.

In other news. Facebook.
Now I do remember myself saying that I wanted to stay away from facebook as long as possible, preferably forever. But I have also realized, that due to my own bad social skills, and my growing loneliness, I figured it would be best to get back on it.
I doubt my interactive social life will be improved, but the little social life I do get from facebook, will atleast get my out of the slightly depressing state I am now in.
I just hope that the hate I felt in there has been tuned down a bit.
And if its not, at least I wont be subjected to it other then at home as I have no intention to have facebook on my phone. For now.

Pizza Hub

Came home with a large, double, pizza, and half way through my dinner... I had to take a shit?!?! What the hell man?? Did the stomach just go: Yey, new stuff, take out the trash so there's room! Alert the stomach thats it soon time to start working! All hands on deck!!!

You didn't see that coming did ya? First thing I say, is about poop! Take that!

Also were in town today, bit unusual I know, but I needed a USB Hub. I have so many temp usb connections I have to switch between every day, I figured that I'd just get a hub to get that sorted, so now I have all of the little shit things connected, and even have 3 free USB ports for when ever I find something new to plug in.

New SimHome

I've earned enough "simoleans" in Sims 4 to allow my girls to buy a new plot of land and build a new house. Did try to make a well designed home with an added room to house a future child, and dont worry, they are trying for a baby every now and then, but damned if they ever get pregnant.

So what do they do instead?

They argue about money... well, I doubt they are actually arguing, as they are smiling, so they might just be discussing the added income from Sarah's (blue haired girl) mobile apps, games and game mods. She's a tech nerd after all. That, or maybe they are talking about the wealth of cash they got from Anne's (pink haired girl) latest painting.

Thats their new house. Simple kitchen, large living room/dining room that is connected to the hallway. Bathroom with both a shower and a bath in direct connection to the living room. Patio, a room for a future child and then the girls bedroom.
Between the kitchen and the hallway to the bedrooms, I've placed an office where they each have a computer as well as Anne's paintings and Sarah's woodcarving table. So far, Sarah has made a knife holder, a bear that protects the front gate and a night stand.

Well anyway...

Babymetal

Slowling surfing the interwebz, youtube, theChive, EvilMilk, Wimp and what not, and I come across a video on youtube for A Co_Optional Podcast Animated: Metal. And they talk about a band of 13 year old girls from Japan that has made a band called Babymetal. Their first album, is also called Babymetal. One of the song on this album is called Gimme Chocolate.

As I couldn't get the damn video to show up here, and for some unknown reason the linking from youtube wont show either, just go there, and search for: Babymetal Gimme Chocolate

Now I'm not saying this is shit... but its damn close. I am a metal head, and the music is good, its metal, no doubt about it, but its the way they sing. It doesn't quite fit.
Who's idea was it to start this band, and why? Did the girls really want to be in a metal band but still sing and dance like pop idols?
I've seen and heard metal from Japan, and some of it is really good stuff, lots of metal there, including the proper voice ranging from rock voice to death voice (thats the growl I would then refer to), so they do know what metal is.
I personally, dont think this is quite metal, close, but those voices... no.
But fun to listen to for a bit. Got to give em that.

In other news, I have to delay todays gym visit to tomorrow. Need to help a coworker out by filling in for her about 3 hours before I actually start working. So instead of going to the gym and stress out trying to make everything work, I'll jsut do the wensday workout on thursday and then just push all the days ahead until saturday, and then resume the normal routine again on monday.

Tagteam Mayhem

Recently went back to Path of Exile, a game that is free to play, but when I tried it at first, it was only fun for maybe a week. But this time, when I went back, I did so with my little brother.
We each started a new character and went out as exiles and slaughtered every undead, every monster, every spider or goatmen we could find.
After a few days thou, I went back to my original Witch character and killed with her and my brothers bow wielding Shadow.

In that screen shot ,we are in a corrupted area, a place that is usually more dangerous then other areas, filled with faster enemies, more enemies or simply harder enemies, with a named boss monster at the end. I have the boss in my sights in the screen shot, and my brother is the one next to the "!" at the bottom shooting a poisonous arrow.
Behind me, we can see one of my own creations, a spectre I had made from a slain enemy and somewhere around, are three zombies that follow my every command (actually they dont give a shit what I say, but at least they dont attack me).

The game is 100% more fun when being played with someone. And to really prove that... we beat the final boss last night. It took some time, cause he was mean, but it was a lot of fun too.

Problem Edition

I was watching some TV during the last hour at work, Hellboy II was on, and its a rather fun movie. But I'm not wrighting to you now about Hellboy, but rather what I witnessed during the commercial break.
During the second commercial break alot of usual ads were shown, for milk, tires, clothing and tools. But what stood out, was the six, I repeat, 6 commercials for online gambling or betting.
Why the hell is there so many ads for online casinos and betting?
My initial thought was: Are swedish people gambling so much that there are countless places to do it? Is it so profitible that they can show ads so often? And most importaintly, is this a problem?
I wonder how many people these online casinos and betting locations have turned to addicts. I wonder how many people are in serious financial problems due to gambling.
On a TV show, not that long ago, they were adressing this problem. Gambling Addiction. But what I now realize, is that they didn't really ask if online betting/gambling, should be better regulated or looked after.
I know of many people that have gambled away their entire salaries, before they ever pay bills or buy food. Families that need to take quick loans just to make ends meet, loans that they then have to pay double or even tripple to remove from their lives.

I dont think I am alone in dreaming of winning the big money. Millions of bucks. Then buy my dream car, dream house and travel the world.
But to this day, I have spent zero on gambling. Sure, I've played the wheels in amusment parks for stuffed animals and candy, but I dont think any of you count that as gambling, especially when taking into account that I visit such locations maybe once every two years or so.

Winning on gambling, is  slow, and usually non-profitible. I would bet (pun intended) that 99% of all people who gamble on a regular basis, loose more then they win.
So here's a tip... just dont. If you are already deep in the gambling, then seek help. Even if you win alot and go plus more then you loose, stop and seek help if you gamble as often as you pee. Cause gambling can be, and usually is, as bad as alcoholism or drug abuse.

Cute Pixel Girls

Few days ago, I started from scratch in Sims 4, this time, without using the cheat code to gain a shitload of money, and also with an added mod that would allow me to make "my girls" in the sim world. Now if you dont know that reference, dont worry, lot of people wont, and for now, it will remain a mystery.
Anyway, I started the game with making sure they were lovebirds so they wouldn't mind that I had removed, and sold, one of the beds.

Do they look like they would be bothered with only having one bed? Even the doctors on the TV dont think so.
I have Anne targeted in that screenie, and she is an aspiring painter, artist. While her soulmate she's kissing there, is a tech-nerd.
Dont they look just lovely?

Work Related

My first week with the new schedual is almost up. Tomorrow I'll be working again, from 4 in the afternoon to 9 in the evening.
But allow me to give you a run down of yesterday, friday.
First of all, I didn't fall asleep until sometime AFTER 02:30 the night before, and then my alarm goes off at 06:00. I get up. I get the morning routine out of the way, pee, brush, computer on and then breakfast.
After some web browsing, I get to work just as the dayshift comes (I'm the morning routine backup/extra). Once inside... its like I've never been there before... well almost. I kind of feel like a newbie. I know half of everything that needs to be done, but it went well, and as usual, we finished everything before my schedualed time was up, but its stated that even if I can leave earlier, I get the full 3 hours worth.
So I then hop back on my bike, and head home.
Now what I had originally planed for the day, was the have a bite to eat, then go do my leg day at the gym. But as I hadn't sleppt well, or very long the night before, I figured it would be better to sleep for two hours instead of sweet for that long, besides, didn't want to potentially end up like the guy below, and it would also help me stay awake during the afternoon/evening shift that was awaiting me at 4.

The second shift, was almost like the normal shifts I have during weekdays, except I got home much much earlier. Which was nice.

In other news.. all I've been playing this week... is The Sims 4... have now played it more then Mass Effect 3. Go figure.

Painter Pixel

I purchased the game The Sims 4 yesterday. First comment from a friend was: Gaaaaaaay! To which we then laughed. But it seems he's going to have to "suffer" the game himself soon, as his wife wants it too. So... take that!

I made a girl I named Tara Fine, and I made her a painter and collector of rare items. I also made sure she loved the outdoors and do some gardening. Almost all things I dont like. I like the outdoors, but thats where my pixel lady and I differ.

Seem thou, that this new installment of The Sims, is going to be just like the previously, in that new DLC's will come every now and then, and all of em are going to cost close to what a new normal game costs, but only add some silly things.
Right now, you can either buy the standard normal version, which I did. Or you can buy the "Limited" version, or what ever it was called, which contains 3 extra features, silly hats, added stuff for parties and something about movie night things. All of which raised the games cost by almost 40%.

Dress maybe?

I really hope that one of the comming DLC's will have a minimum of 3-5 added new plots, new land and maybe even the option to buy stores, companies and things of that nature. Couse if all you can do is become the richest person at your job, with the highest title, but not own your place or buy some other and get profit from it as you could in the Sims 3... then what the fuck?
It all remains to be seen.

Also, I need to tell my pixel lady to get dressed when she watches TV.

Hugs 4 Hours

Yesterday, a coworker and I had a discussion about hugs. They are nice, they are warm and we give them to anyone and everyone we care about. But they also give us more then just a nice feeling at the very moment of the hug.

I should elaborate... I think that would be best.

According to studies, when we are hugged, we become happier. Nothing new there really, but as we hug, we release a hormone called oxytocin, and this hormone elevates the feelings surrounding attachment, trust, connection and intimacy. When we hug, or are being hugged, we feel less lonely. It seems, that hugs facilitate social bonding and makes the huggers experience a participation of life itself.

So I here by proclaim, that we should hug often. But no more then perhaps 2-4 seconds between friends and family at a time, and how ever long you want between people you care extra for, like lovers and very dear friends... or if someone is feeling blue, hug them til they fall asleep.

Speaking of work... umm.. thats where we were when we talked about hugs... I have been working a steady 24 hours a week for a long time now, but now thou, due to my "boss" having too many hours left each month, we needed to add some hours to a few peoples schedual. My schedual for instance was allowed to be expanded. So now, my weekly schedual in hours is no longer 24 hours every week, but...

Week one: 40 hours.

Week two: 24 hours.

Week three: 37 hours.

Week four: 24 hours.

This all means, that I have increased my normal 60% to 78%. Yey for me, almost at the normal 100%, which would be 40 hours a week... but due to me working half of those hours with added "unsocial working hours", I'll make close to a 100% salary. Which is nice.

If all works out well, I'll start this new schedual next week, starting friday, where I will work two shifts, 07:30 to 10:30 and then again at 16:00 to 21:00. Thats a full 8 freakin hours. Another two weeks later, I'll be doing the same hours, but on the saturday and sunday.

Well thats enough numbers for now.

Ran a few world bosses today in GW2, and while waiting for the big guy in a big hole inside a mountain... I took out a big gun and shot cakes on the ground! Cause take that monsters!!

I got this gun for a birthday gift from the game itself... guess I turned one or two or something.. cant remember whan I started this girl, but she is my favorite of all time.. and also my first.
So yea, she's old... I guess...

Slightly different subject now.
I've been thinking alot of a project I've been planing some over the years, and because its been occupying my head more over the last few days, I've come to the conclussion, that its time to start working on it for real.
Its something thats going to take alot of time, and quite a bit of money too. And I thought I would try and give you some updates of it on the usual sunday screen shot days, so you no longer get just screen shots of my stupid games every week, but maybe you'll get updates on Ze Uber Project Deluxe Magnifico!
There are a few that know what I'm planing... for the rest of you, I'll give you just a single hint... its game related... kind of...
Beyond that, you'll just have to guess until its done and the finished project is complete.

Broken Hours

Yesterday, on my way to work, something unusual happened. Something thats not really expected to happen, as it shouldn't happen.

The first sign that something was amiss, was that my pedal on my bike, the left one, started to wobble a bit. At first I thought that maybe I had dinged it on something, but when the whole pedal with arm that is attached to the bike itself came off, I figured that having dinged it on some unknown item, was probably not it.

Dont worry thou, it has been fixed. It seemed that the bolt that is hidden under the little plastic cover you see at the end of pedals arm, had just come loose, but it wasn't gone atleast. But I was unable to fix it until I got home. 

So the whole ride home, I had to use the bike as a kickbike. And let me tell ya, using a normal bike as a kickbike, for roughly 6 kilometers, is fuckin exhausting!! My right knee didn't like it, my left hand did not like being weighted on so much and my breath was out quite a few times... I am not fit for shit like that.

The time home took about 15 minutes longer then usual with a bike, but still close to half an hour shorter then if I had walked.

After a meeting at work this past monday, I also found out, that I will be coming into more hours at work later on, cant tell you right now how many hours, but it will atleast give me some additional cash to .. umm... waste on what ever it is I want to waste it on :P

As it seem now thou, I might be working enough to add something like another 3 of my normal workdays in total hours. Or close to it. Just hope I will be able to get my ass out of bed for the 3 morning shifts I have now promiced to take... have to get up at the UNGODLY HOUR of like... 7? I dont know, we'll see.

Its also going to be fun to see what kind of screen shot I give you on sunday... as I've not even played Guild Wars 2 since last friday I think. Dont get me wrong, its still a good game, but I think I've just gone tierd of playing games I've already invested time in... or I might just be getting tierd of games all together. What ever the case, we'll see what you get.

Double Take

When playing games on you computer, xbox or what ever you prefer, you can get quite mad when something bugs out or glitches. A bug is a flaw in the game system, and it might hinder you to either complete your mission, quest or the likes, and thus, it will always be a pain in your ass. And a glitch is basicly when something happens that's not suppose to happen, like say a specific mob, or worse a boss, all of the sudden isn't where he/she is suppose to be.
Or a glitch can also be something like this:

There you see my back, the one with the eatherial wings, but you also see me standing slightly infront of me, in the pose I had last before I died. That mirror image of me, was around for the whole of the final fight in that instance/dungeon, and it's one of those glitches that you cant help but to laugh at.

Weekend Heretic

Not long ago, some routines were changed at work, which made my reading habits there to dwindle and slowly fade away, I still tried to read, but for some reason, I never felt like I had time.
But now I have bought an Ebook reader, and I have to say, that even with the new routines, I've read more these past 2 days, then I would normally do in a whole week. But then, I've also taken up the old habit of reading in bed a bit before I sleep.
My current book, or epub file, of choise, is one of the books in the Horus Herecy series; The First Heretic. Its realy good, very exciting and difficult to put down. Good thing the reader is light and easy to handle. Its about the fall of the XVII legion, the Word Bearers and their Primarch Lorgar. It is the legion which is shamed by the Emperor of Man for their belief that the Emperor is a God. And searching the stars for the truth, they fall to the forces of Chaos, willingly, and thus, plant the seed of destruction that will put the galaxy to flame for centuries to come.
Such awesome stories.

Time for some complaints... I haven't gone to the gym this week as I've been sick... FUCK!!

Speaking of Warhammer 40k, I've completed Dawn of War II and Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising for a second time, this time around, I did it without a single point of taint of Chaos to any of my soldiers. First time I played, I did my best to be tainted as much as possible... but the ending was rather crap, I was just banished or something, I cant remember, but I do remember that it was very anticlimactic.

So the weekend is starting tomorrow... for me... I wonder what it will hold. I do hope it wont be just me sitting here and playing games all the damn time.
