Mass Winds Screenie

Its official, we are going towards brighter days... summer time is set, and the winds of summer is coming... althou, it seems that the Winds of Summer has been delayed for some reason, perhaps missed its train, flat tire or sliped and broke its leg... what ever reason, its still the Winds of Winter that is roaming the land.

But today is Sunday!!! Which means a day for a screen shot of what ever game I am currently playing. And as you can see from my previous entry, I am playing the shit out of Mass Effect 3.
So why wouldn't I upload a screenie of said game?

Here you go.

Me not shooting couse I'm busy taking a picture :P

This image was taken early in the game, but since then, I have completed the game, and is now working on a second character.. a Sniper this time around, so if you are lucky, you might get a few more screenies of this, most awesome, game :)

Space Effect Love

I got a free game a week ago... becouse Maxis/AE was fuckin up the connections with Simcity. Didn't expect to be one of those who would get it, but I did.. I picked...

Its a space fighting game... with no space fighting in it...?

Yea you have a ship that you use to get around with, but if you come in contact with the main enemy of the game, the Reavers, you are dead. Which means you do all the fighting on the ground on various planets.
Its basicly an FPS game (First Person Shooter), but you see your character from behind to the right, and from there, you aim up your crosshairs and shoot the shit out of your enemies... and if you hit them in the head... BOOM! Extra damage and pop goes the head :)

Now in this game, there are alot of extra things you can do besides follow the main story, lot of missions of various kinds, anything from freeing people at some colony to track down hackers and searching for ancient statues.
You are also able to either rekindle an old relationship, or start a relationship. Kind of fun.
I started a sniper class male, but after a short time, I found that perhaps starting with a sniper in an action game was a bad idea, so I restarted, and this time with a soldier, female, looks like shit, but hey.
Ready for battle!
And I figured I might start hitting on a male soldier that was on my team and ship that looks pretty good, big muscles, cool tatoo and a personality like; Shoot first ask questions later. But then all of the sudden, I found I had appearently been "sweet talking" an intelligence officer... and after a short talk with this officer in my Captians Chamber, we ended up being a couple. Go figure. But here's the best part. The intelligence officer is a woman... Now normally this is a gamer nerds dream. An action game with lesbian love. But I went a step beyond it, and found that this is something truelly awesome. They are breaking (kind of) the usual gender barriers, by letting gay relationships look like its normal (which it also seems, as I found out that a male armoury soldier on my ship had a husband that was lost in the war). And I dont know if its realy a break through in gaming, but it is awesome that they do it.
But this also means, that if I play this game again, from the start, I have to make a male again, and then try to get him into a relationship with another guy :)

Anyway, its an awesome game, besides the lesbian love scene that also occoured in the shower (with underwear and clothing), but also for the action and very interesting story.

Monday Pretending to be Sunday

I was realy tierd yesterday. I was supposed to upload a screenshot last night once I had become alone here at home, but it seems that my mind was too focused on not allowing my face to fall on the keyboard and then have me sleep on it :P

Anyway, I wont allow myself to NOT put out a screen shot. How ever, due to the issues I have currently with Guild Wars 2, I wont be adding the usual Sister Diina Diary entry today. I'll let you know when that will be coming back as soon as I know myself.

The screen shot today will be from Simcity again, just couse its such a beautiful game. You can be realy far away, or realy close and see what color shoes the sims have on. See the garbage trucks pick up trash and see the cops have shoot outs with robbers... to mention a few things. Its a hard game thou, to make it funtion and be balanced.

An orange Smart Car?

It feels almost stupid to not add the Diina entry now... I dont realy know how many people actually read it, but I want to finish it. But I am currently unable to do so... which is aggrivating :P

Sick Battle Break

Have had a slow and sneezy week so far. I got to work monday, but after that, my freakin nose wouldn't stop running, sneezing AND being clogged up... it was/is very annoying.
So that means I've missed three days of work. Alot of people would welcome such a long weekend, thuesday to sunday, a six day weekend, but not me... I have been so freakin bored!!!

I have a computer full of awesome games, even a few new ones, including Mass Effect 3, which I got for free and still haven't played any of yet. So I cant say I dont have anything to do. But I'm still finding myself to be bored most of the time.
When I do work, I feel I dont have time to do the things I want to do before or after work. Now that I have the time.. I'm bored. *facepalm*

I had an idea of cleaning the place up a bit.. but I have to admite that I have done none of that. When most of your face feels like its filled with cement, its not all that fun to do anything either. Its getting better thou, so I'm gonna atleast make sure that all the eating items, plates, forks and so on, is clean and ready to be used by the time my girl arrives.
Beyond that, we'll see.

Before I get to the Diary of Sister Diina, I want to let you know, that I am having some issues with being able to do it. There is an issue "in-game" that is preventing me from seeing what I've done.
Basicly, in the Character Window, there is a tab called "My Story", where I can go back in time to see what I have done, and get the details of the story, step by step. Well some shit has happened, so when I go down the steps, they all of the sudden disappear... all of them. So I cant see them, at all. If this gets fixed soon, then you wont notice a change. But it might be a short, or even long, break in the Diary, nothing I want to have happen, but it might.
You have been warned!!! :P

Battle and Duty

I returned to Fort Trinity to report the success, and loss, of the mission to Trahearne. But as I got there, Zhaitan had sent an army at us from all directions.

With the use of an ancient relic, the Orb of Water, aswell as hundreds of Pact soilders, we twarted the attack. Now the Pact is poised to go on the offensive and take the fight to Zhaitan in Orr...

But first, I have to finish the previous mission that was started at Trahearne's request.

I delivered the bad news about Tonn to his widow, Ceera. As a Pact medic, she deals with death every single day, but that didn't make the news of Tonn's death any easier to hear.

Logan's Letter
In her grief, she blamed me for his death, and ran off, straight into a throng of undead. I was able to rescue her, but she remained furious and refused to forgive me. I can only hope that our eventual victory over the dragons will make Ceera see that Tonn's bravery saved thousands of lives and helped secure Tyria's freedom.

I got a letter from Captain Thackeray who had heard of Tonn's death, his words helped pick me up a bit. I'll save it here in the journal.

Dye & Bombs

Todays screen shot comes from the newly released game, Simcity. Noone knows why its not called Simcity 5, as it is the fifth in order of Simcity games, but instead is called the same as the first game that was released in 1989. The mind is boggled. BOGGLED I TELL YA!!!

Interesting name for a barber shop...
I still dont know if it was a good idea to buy this game, granted, its new, and some bugs are going to be fixed over the next few weeks. But I dont know. The general idea of always having to be online to play it for one, why? This is a single player game, they turned into a multiplayer game. Now I do like to play with others, no question there. But I still think this is a single player game.

There are still lots of things I just dont get with the game, I'll probebly get it later, but for now... once I get to a certain size of my city, I start bleeding money like I've been shot in the head :P
Think I'll just skip that whole thing with specialization, I think that might be one of the crooks, and not that useful anyway... as far as I can tell anyway ^^

Bombs for Everyone

Tonn
I meet with one of the Pact's premier explosives experts, an asura named Tonn.  I helped him to take down a number of Orrian seige towers around Sparkfly Fen, and in so doing, I also discovered that Tonn was not only very good at his job, but he truelly loved it. I couldn't help myself to crack a smile everytime he said anything after a tower went down.

How ever, we also needed to bring down an Orrian Bone Ship, and his explosives, no matter how good they were, were not going to cut it.

So we went to aquire a bomb that would.

Tonn knew of a place we were sure to find what we needed, unfortunatly, it would be deep inside a volcano in Mount Maelstrom.

In order to survive the extreme tempatures, we wore big suits of heat resistant armour, and headed into the belly of the beast. At first, I was unsure of just how to use the bloody thing, it was like being in a metal closet with buttons and levers all around, but after a quick "how-to", I was a ready to go.

Sitting just on the ledge of a lava lake, we found a Flame Core that Tonn said would do the trick, so after we picked that up, and also had to fight some fire elemental that didn't approve of us taking it, we went to meet up with our support team at the shores of the Mire Sea. The location of the Bone Ship.

Tonn's skills and bravery allowed us to sink the bone ship, but it also cost him his life. There were a mechanical failure preventing hte charges to go off, and being dedicated to the mission, Tonn took it upon himself to make sure that it went off as it should. He was successfull, but were unable to clear the ship in time to avoid the blast.

His sacrifice saved countless lives, but that wont be much comfort to his friends, family, or those who fought beside him.

I shall miss him.

Wolf Pact

I have just finished reading a book called The Wolf Gift, by Anne Rice. The author is most famous for her many books about vampires, such as Lestat, Marius and ofcourse, Akasha, the "Queen of the Damned" (as also one of the books were called).
This one how ever, does not contain any vampires. Instead, she is now reinventing the myth and lore of the werewolf.

It is set in our time, the present if you will, and the main character is called Rueben. A writer for a paper in the California area. As he is doing a piece on an old house with its current owner, both himself and the woman Marchent, is attacked in the house. Rueben, the only survivor, seems to have been rescued by a stray wild dog or something, and after a few days in a hospital bed, start to hear things clearly, even from far away. His wounds have all healed, and when he realizes that his hands and feet have grown larger then normal, aswell as his hair gotten richer, fuller and longer... I had a hard time letting to book go.

I do belive, that Anne Rice has written her best book yet. I will always love her vampire chronicles, I will always love Lestat, Marius and so many other of her vampires. But this is something new, and written with such a passion, that NOT reading it, was at times painful (not realy but I think you get the idea).

I can say nothing else, but if you can, read it. I doubt you will regret it. I just hope she wrights more of Rueben and his new wolf friends and their adventures.

On a side note: I still have issues with my internet, just trying to load up some images takes fuckin forever. I wonder what those tech supporters are doing? Drinking beer all day then forget about the customers?

Anyway...

Forging the Pact
At Trahearne´s request, I meet him in Concordia to discuss the Pact´s campaign into Orr to confront Zhaitan.

We meet with high ranking members of the orders of Tyria, and at the meeting, it was confirmed that Trahearne were to lead us, with a rank of Marshal, and that I would be his second in command with the rank of Commander.

POW! Right in the kisser!
The first  thing we needed, was to get the very best weapons and armour to outfit our troops. And the finest smiths in all of Tyria were more then glad to lend their craftmanship for the mission.

As we were speaking of the upcoming battles, we were interupted by a scribe of the Priory that came into the camp. Mortally wounded he was able to tell us of a dire situation not far from our location.

A band of Pact soldiers had been trapped in some ruins that were being searched for ancient dwarven knowledge, and according to the scribe, they had found an old tome which could contain what we might need. But as they found it, the undead of Zhaitan came. Now, they need our help to get out.

We found all the soldiers and scribes alive, but before we could get out, a wraith named Dzhudin Stormbreak appeared with some massive abominations.

There is no doubt in my mind any more, that the Pact does not contain some of the finest warriors Tyria can have. For any other soldier would most likely not have survived the encounter.

The Pact's campaign plans are braod and complicated, so Trahearne asked me t o make sure a key element of that campaign is ready for the rigors of war.

The Weekly Thing

It is sunday evening, and I need to calm the people down, or I'll have a riot on my hands!! So I give you the screenshot of the week.

Todays screen shot will be of TERA again. Not much action going on in it thou.. but fuck that right? Its got evil looking santa's in it!

Kill them quick, before they can give you gifts!
I haven't been playing alot of TERA Online, but when you come across small dwarf like creatures, with white beards and evil santa hats, you just got to stand around and murder them as much as you can... just becouse Fuck Christmas, thats why!

And as per usual these days, I'll get too the Sister Diina diary/journal in a minute.

Just want tell you a short story first, about my internet connection. Its shit!
For some ungodly reason, the guys who own the "line" I'm sitting on, not the same guys I buy from, haven't gotten their asses out of the wagon to fix it, and its been a week... okej I'm getting ahead of myself here.
The issue is simple, but very frustration. For over ten years now, its been working rather smooth and not many, or atleast long term, problems have coused issues. But right now, its speed stability is fucked. Sending shit is cool, it does that at a close to 10.00 Mbit/sec as it should be, but the reciving speed is rarely there. It should be 10.00Mbit aswell... constantly.
But its not. The lowest so far that I have seen, is 0.33 Mbit/sec, usually around 1.30-2.10 Mbit/sec... this is not okey!!! Just to upload the screeny today took 18 seconds. (yes I timed it)
I am not liking this... and the fact that they have obviously not fixed it for over a week now, speaks volumes of their incompetence.

Its aggravating... very aggravating.

On to the diary :)

Siege and Revenge

As soon as we were done in the Grove, we recieved word that Zhaitan's forces were attacking the Vigil Keep. It was clear to us now, that the dragon knew who to fear. We had belive the keep to be a secret, nestled secure in a mountain wall. But who ever becomes turned by Zhaitan, tells all secrets.

We high tailed it to Gendarran Fields and the Keep, and meet powerful magic and a small army of undead. The dragon is mighty, but like a force of nature, it lashes out where it feels resistance, in an attempt to overwhelm.

With some well places shots from the trebuchet, thier siege engines were down, and soon, the magical bone barrier they had erected. The full force of the Vigil came down on them, and with few loses, we won the day.
The victory had bolstered our confidence. Next, we retake Claw Iland.

At the docks in Lion's Arch, the three Orders of Tyria meet, and agreed to unify their efforts against this threat and agaisnt Orr. All under one banner: The Pact. But noone could decide which to lead them. After some heated discutions, it was Trahearne who took up the mantle of leader. He first protested, but seeing as he had knowledge of the dragon, its armies and the area, and no direct ties to any on order, it was a good choise.

As our first mission, Trahearne lead us back to Claw Iland, and retake it from the foul dragons minions and spawn.

Just as we were about to embark, I spoted my friend Zy who had helped us before. And without a seconds though, she came along too. The more the merrier right?

Together, all three orders fought as a well oiled machine, and took down the spawn of the dragon Zhaitan and the armies at Claw Iland.

With a single blow, we avenged my mentor, Forgal, and proved to the dragon, that the Pact was a force to fear.

After the battle, we split up to regroup later at an abbandoned fortress on the borders of Orr. But it was far from a good defence point, and much was needed to secure it, as well as creating defences. Trahearne sent me a letter urging me to join him in Concordia as soon as I could. I am to help him with vital issues for this new Pact. If it fails now, all might be lost.

Sleepless Vision

I cant sleep.

For some reason, I feel way to warm in bed tonight... nothing I am accustomed to I can assure you. Its rather cold in my apartment, and thus, I am used to having to start the night by getting warm. Now I started warm, and just got warmer.
Teletubbies - the Horror Edition

No I dont have a fever, I checked.

And then, to make things worse, I stopped being tierd.

So what the hell do I do?

Text from the Dog
Oh I know, I go back to the computer, find funny shit, post em here, and also clean a bit, the shit I planed to do NEXT weekend :P

This means that the area for the next location for this infernal machine, is now open. Just need to go over it with the vacuum cleaner first, but I dont want to do that at 4 in the freakin morning. I dont think I'm allowed to anyway. Might get some kind of warning for shit like that, or even a "thanks, now get the hell out-letter".

So no more cleaning tonight. Just this, then bed.

A Fight and a Vision

Our first stop in finding allies were in Timberline Falls, at a local moot. This place was filled to the brim with more then ale. Champions of the Norn gathered here to drink, fight and tell grand stories of their achivements.

Me and Trahearne approched one of the greatest champions at the moot, a man named Fibharr Ygosson. And tld him we needed aid in defending Lion's Arch. He agreed that it was a worthy couse, but didn't think it would be worth his and his friends time, and that they would just be another blade in the crowd, but if we managed to beat him and his friends in a straight up fight, he vowed to join us.

The look on his face when we bested him and his five other champions were almost supricing, he were smiling from ear to ear.

And true to his word, they all packed up and started their trek to Lion's Arch.

Trahearne wanted to gain another upper hand, by visiting the Pale Tree in the Grove, the home of the Sylvari. Perhaps she knows things we dont.

We arrived at the Grove and and the Pale Tree were more then happy to help us, in her own unusual way, by showing us a vision of Orr. Throught the vision, we found the future of things to come, but also learned what our wishes were. Trahearne's greatest wish, were to heal the broken land, and mine was to find a way to defeat Zhaitan.

I only hope I can live up to Mother Tree's hopes for the future.

Dirty Moving Claw

Goddamn, my place looks like hell! And this weekend, my girl is coming, with a dog.. cant have it looking like this then. But at the same time, cleaning on work days is just a no-no for me, I cant get started, couse once I get started, I want to be able to finish atleast some of the stuff, and I might not make it in time couse I have to go to work. And then when I get home, I cant pick it up again like its nothing, couse I'm tierd, hungry and just want to unwind and get ready for bed.

So I will most likely do it all tomorrow. Laundry, scrubbing, vacuum and what not. Atleast I did clean out the microwave yesterday... looked like a meatpie exploded in it, then left to dry and rott for a year. But its clean now.

I have also been thinking off moving my computer back to the living room, and again, turn this room into a workout room/library/hobby room. Got the idea late last night, and I cant shake it, so why not do it right? Its not like its gonna get infinitly worse right? Is it? Naaaa, it'll be fine.
Besides, when Isabelle comes around, and I sit infront of this infernal machine, she will still have the company of my presence aswell as being able to talk to her, if she wants to watch some tv show or event or what ever on the other infernal machine :P

She's going on a cruise btw next weekend.. so I will have a full gaming weekend then! After I rearange my apartment that is :P
But all jokes aside, its getting hard to live so far away from her, after two years you want to be closer, like, living together close. But so far, no such luck. And when we cant see eachother each and every weekend, not just couse we are busy with other stuff at times, but due to economy, its not exactly easier.

I'm sure some of you might understand, but not much you, or even I at this point in time, can do about it. So lets just leave it for now, and focus on the clean up of area 1102... my apartment :P

Claw Iland

The Vigil had received reports of citizens gone missing in the sewers beneath Lion's Arch.
Forgal and myself were sent to investigate the matter.

Our first clue that something was wrong, was the fact that all the sewers normal inhabitants, the rats, were all runing for their lives in one direction. We ofcourse, moved in the other direction, in hopes of finding what ever it was that scared the rodents so much as to invoke a mass escape.

We found something. Something bad indeed. A scout of Zhaitan - inside the city of Lion's Arch.
Forgal told me that a scout of that kind only comes around when the armies of Zhaitan are about to invade, and that we need to get to Claw Iland to set up defences and warn the Lion's Guard. For if Claw Iland falls, so does Lion's Arch.

We barely got there before the dragons minions came out of the sea. Their attack were first slow and small, but soon there were hundreds of them. And soon it was clear that we could not defend the iland.
I managed to light the beacons, giving Lion's Arch a warning before trying to save the few that were left and get on a boat to head back to Fort Marriner as ordered by General Almorra. Warmaster Forgal made the ultimate sacrifice thou, he closed the gates and fought on, so I could save the the remaining, and actually get back. He shall be remembered.

Until the Lion's Guard are ready to levy a counterassault, we are to defend the beach. As luck would have it, I found a friend along the way to give us a helping hand, a girl with amazing skills in magic, confussion and illiusions, I fear that without Zy's help, we might have been over run.

General Soulkeeper is returning to Vigil Keep to rally an army, in the meantime, Trahearne and I are going ot call upon allies across the continent. Tyria is in grave danger.

Hylek Spring Bikini - Screenie

Its the third of third month of the thirteenth year of this, our second millenium of this worlds yearly count... or something like that, its no longer february atleast, and its officially spring.. not that the weather gods give a goddamn rats ass about that, they like the snow and cold, so I guess we are just gonna have to bow our heads and go with it :P

Its sunday thou, no matter what you call this month or what number this day has, and that means its time for another screenie.
This wont be of Guild Wars 2 thou (all thou I imagen you can see that already), but of a game called Tera Online... its like a shooter MMO, you have to aim before you start waving your massive sword around.
I picked a warrior for my character, a female elf with short firey red hair.

Now before I get to the actual screen shot... does anyone else think that a warrior should wear more then just a leather shirt and a steel bikini bottom?

Bikini of War!
Yea thats what I thought... a warrior should wear all steel bikini!!! :)

Champion's Sacrifice

I made the desicion to contact a species called 'hylek', a people that are devout servants of their sun god, and I should mention, are basicly frogs with opposable thumbs. Many Hylek tribes can be found all over southern Kryta.

My mentor and I established contact with Ikniu, a hylek that was from a village that seems to be sacrificing champions to the undead. Unknowingly ofcourse, but still.
They thought they trained and sent out champions to stave off the undeads and their advance, and that their actions were blessed by their sun god.

Hylek Warrior
Ikniu's brother was the latest champion, and he knew that his brother would not be the salvation of their village, but the doom of both himself and his people, and asked for our help to find him before it was too late.

Unfortunatly, it was too late, and after a long and hard fight, we managed to kill the late champion, Ikniu's brother, along with some lesser undeads that was in his wake.
And to prove to the village leaders that their champions were infact feeding the dragon Zhaitan and his undead army, we took the head of the dead brother and brought it to the leader.
They were not convinced, so we decided to make our case again, but from a stronger position, so that noone could deny the truth.

They hold a competition called, Tournament of the Sun God, that help choose the next champion to be sacrificed, or sent to 'keep the undead away' as they belive. Ikniu was more then helpful in the matter. And after competing with the others in the various parts of the tournament, I managed to convince Chief Quecuan that we must defend the village from the undead, not give them their best warriors.
High Priestess Ecolotl disagreed and stormed off, but the rest of the hylek joined in our plans to fortify and defend the village.

The hylek village came under attack just as the defences were finished, and all thou we fough valiantly, the village was destroyed. We managed to save many of the villagers how ever, and Chief Quecuan and Ikniu were most grateful, and they promiced to join our fight against the Elder Dragons, as we had join their fight.
Ikniu gave me a gift before we departed. He gave me his spear that we had used to carry his brothers head with to the village leaders. (no worries thou, it has been cleaned)
