Finally Over

Christmas is finally over! No more stress over gifts, food and traffic. No more decorations and lights and dying trees in our homes. Even thou some people won't take down their decorations for months (assholes).

But now, another kind of decorations will likely happen... New Years decorations. After that, Valentines decorations, and then Easter Eggs as far as the eye can see. Guess that whole decorations thing will just keep poping up, and in a way, even when there is nothing to celebrate, we decorate anyway, just with things we consider ordinary. Cause we like to decorate our homes. We decorate them with flowers, paintings, photographs of kids and relatives and pets, we put up colourful curtains and porcelain figurines. We decorate with our collections of books, movies and music records.
So in a way, we always have decorations dispayed in our homes. We just forgot that they are indeed decorations in a form of celebration.

So can I truely blame all the Christmas decorations? Not realy, but I still don't like them all that much, specially when previously stated assholes refuse to take em down for months. Once, I saw someone have a bunch of Christmas specific decorations on their balcony well in to the month of May. One and only time so far, that I wished it could be seen as pests, and I were allowed to use a flamethrower to end it all for them. You know, as a civil service.

But enough gibbering, I don't like Christmas decorations after Christmas Day. If you still have them up half way through January, for the love of the gods! Take em down!!
