Electrified Exile

So in my ever growing boredom, from waiting for Elder Scrolls to come out of my mail drop. I have been playing a little Path of Exile.
They had a mayor update recently... kind of an expansion, or heavy duty patch with something called Vaal... I have no idea what its all about, as I've never gotten over level 34 yet. But I have found small "corrupt" doors here and there, where the enemies inside are really touch, drop more stuff and keeps being resistance to what ever magic I happen to use on them.
And when I say "what ever magic I happen to use on em".. I mean it. If I start with say fire... they become resistant to fire, but if I switch to say lighting, they switch their resistance too. Fun times.

No screenie of that thou...

Unlimited... Power!!! Yea, old joke, I know.
So I got a screenie of some temple or something where a bunch of holy water and ribbons tried to kill me.

Also, I found a bunch of statues, as I've told you earlier, that also wanted me dead. And I have to say, that never have I seen such detailed statues since I played a bit of TERA Online. I mean, come on, do a statue realy need nipples? Isn't just the breasts enough? Whats next? Will I be able to see what religion a male statue is? But... thats not realy the important thing. The look of them, when they came to life, is. And they looked badass!

Hopefully next week, you'll get some ESO screenies... until then...

Tetris Statues No

Another work week over. And my usual 3 day weekend starting, officially tomorrow, but I count this evening as well. And tomorrow, its gym day, upper body, then later in the evening, visit a pub to listen to some old punk bands. Might be fun, haven't been out in a while.

I want a tetris game like that. I would hate it... and love it. And on the gaming front... I've got admit, that even thou Banished is an awesome game, it lacks a specific element... combat. I wished it had some. So I've started going back to Path of Exile.
If you dont remember it, dont worry, I'll show you a screenie of it this saturday. Took a nice one of a few statues that had waaaaaay to detailed boobies... :D Then the damn statues came to life, and tried to end mine. Bastards... a few seconds later, they were rubble on the ground.

Living statues? I think not.

ESO Bought

I bought it... The Elder Scrolls Online game. It wont arrive until next week, official release date being the 4th of april, but as usual, one can always pre-purchase.
For me, I just got the normal standard game, no extra shit like the Imperial Special Edition, an edition that just gives you the chance to have an imperial race, transform gear to look like imperial gear, some kind of mudcrab pet, imperial horse and some rings that boost experience.
I dont feel the need for any of that, as I plan to make a Dark Elf character, have Dark Elf style on my gear (or maybe barbarian style once I unlock it), and I dont want a nice white steed, I want a black horse, with flames shooting out its ass!!! (oh how I wish I could get a horse like that)
And boost to experience? Why would I ever want that? Its just a stupid way to become over powered quicker, and even skip some content, thats not for me.

So I got the normal version. On the Bethesda store, I could buy it for 499 skr, digital copy. But I bought it at ginza.se, physical copy, for 468 skr, and thats including the cost for shipping.
That means, I got the box with the dvd and shit, for less then the digital copy that gives me nothing but maybe a code that I would have to punch in manually.
Take that Bethesda!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the day I can start playing. I just hope, it will keep me busy longer then all the other MMO's I've tried over the years after WoW.

Farmers Life

Been trying a new game of late, Banished. A game created by just one person. Its like SimCity, a city building game, just 100 000 times better.

You start with 10 exiled people, some provisions. And then, its up to you, to make sure they survive.
Plant crops, grow fruit tree's, chop wood for warmth during cold winter nights and coats to keep them warm when they are not in their homes.

This is a difficult game, and you cant rush it. I did in the begining, and all of the sudden, my citizens started droping like flies, dead from starvation usually, or some died from freezing to death.
I have found the game challenging, and alot of fun.

Thou it is a slow game, much of it, is just looking at the screen, sometimes telling them where to fell trees or harvest stone and iron if needed, but rarely actually building things.

Here's what one of my cities looked like, until I got most of em killed and then had a pasture get a bug, killing all my cows.

Then a fire broke out, burning down a third of all my buildings, including that market you see with all the lovely colors.

I rage-quit after that, and started a new town, where I hoped they wouldn't be so stupid... or more... where I wouldn't be so stupid :P

And I got to ask you... all of you, what kind of fucked up world was the middle ages? I mean, was it okay back then to be a guy in his 30's, to fuck a girl at the age of 12-13 for the purpose of producing a kid? I am so glad I live in this day and age, and in this country, where I, at least, hope that never happens.

Anyway, wonderful game, you should try it.

Iron Snow

Been snowing almost all day today. I honestly thought it was gonna hold up until after summer... well I was wrong. As I was going to my bike after work tonight, I noticed the bike next to mine, that had been standing in the same spot for around 3 days, not moved an inch, that on its seat, were 5 centimeters of snow.

It was hell to ride in on my way to the gym earlier, small pesky little snowflakes, right in my face. Not alot of fun to be had there.. good thing the machines and weights at the gym helped me take out some frustrations. :)

And as the snow was a little slushy as it came down, and now has frozen over, it was a damn terror to ride the bike. Slippery as fuck!

At the gym thou, I tried a new thing. A buddy of mine told me to try some new things.
Start at my maximum weight, for biceps, that means 10 kilos (am not a big Arnold no), and then just work them until I can hardly lift my arms, or in my case, to 15 repetitions, then I took it down to 8, same thing all over, then 6 and then 4. After that I had difficulties just putting the damn barbells back in their place, so I thought, no more, that will have to do.

It was even a hazzle to wash under my arms later in the shower... it was so cool!!!

Well thats it for now... just wanted to update you on the normal life, no gaming for once.

Poisoned Arrow

So yet another "stress test" weekend in Elder Scrolls Online. Far from the best one thou... so many bugged out quests, pretty much ever other one you tried to do, and I couldn't even do the starting area for the Ebonheart Alliance, which ofcourse, is my chosen side. o.0

Anyway, got to try my hands on an archer type character... and I might just have to work with that when the game is released, its kind of fun. Just like the sorcerer type was. Just with arrows dipped in poison instead of a staff full of fire :P

Breath in... aaaaand release!
After a poisoned arrow, I usually put a siphoning spell on them, doing some damage and transfering 25% of that damage to me as healing. And I got to say... for the first time since early WoW, back in the year 1563 or something, a bow and arrow class, is fun.

Anyway, lets see what I got for you next week. Until then...

Postapocalyptic Reading

Mine looks like this.
Just finished reading the book: Towards The Light, a book from the Metro 2033 universe. And I got to say, it was even better then the second installment, and this one wasn't even written by the original author.

There is some website, never bothered finding it, that invites people to wright their own stories inside the metro universe. And Towards The Light, won the readers award, or something like that, and was then published.

Its main characters are a stalker called Taran, and a boy he got as payment, by choice mind you, called Gleb. They join a band of adventurers to find the promiced land, Exodus, after seeing a mysterious light close to the shores of the Baltic Sea.
The trip is of course filled with danger, death and very wierd shit that has spawned after the nuclear war.

Anyway... its a good book.

Now I've started "I am Ozzy"... not 4 lines in, and I laughed out load. Its gonna be great.
